MSC,the world’s largest container shipping company, placed an order for a total of 20 dual-fuel container vessels in Jiangsu New TimesShipbuilding. With this large order, New TimesShipbuilding also became the shipping enterprise with the largest order quantity of LNG-powered vesselsin China.
It is reported that New TimesShipbuilding recently signed a contract with MSCfor the construction of ten 8100TEU and ten11,400TEU dual fuel LNG-powered container vessels, which is the largest order for New TimesShipbuilding since its establishment in 2000.
With the addition of the latest 20 vessels, the current New TimesShipbuilding dual-fuel vesselorders reached 51 vessels with a total of 7.573 million DWT, ranking first among domestic shipyards.
