New Operations & Infrastructure Manager at the Mejillones Port Complex

Mejillones Port Complex announced the appointment of engineer Gerardo Fernández Aguilar as the new Operations & Infrastructure manager of the company.

The general manager of CPM, Juan Alberto Ruiz, stated that the new executive “joins our team at a key moment to advance the fulfillment of our Development Plan, which helps us achieve our purpose of connecting mining and industry with the world through sustainable, safe, and efficient port operations.”

During his professional career, Fernández has been Port Operations manager at Teck Quebrada Blanca, Port manager at Compañía Minera Cordillera-Terminal Marítimo Patache, and head of Maintenance for Floating and Land Equipment at Report, Iquique and Talcahuano branches.

The executive holds an MBA from the Universidad del Desarrollo, a diploma in contract management from the same institution, and his professional degree of Bachelor of Engineering Sciences and Mechanical Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
