Another sector that is growing significantly in Cádiz is fishing, with 7.76% more compared to the previous year, accumulating 9,412 tons and a first-sale value close to 39 million euros, which is 8.26% more than in the same period of 2024.
Regarding the mode of transport, road traffic to the Canary Islands reached 688,783 tons in September, which is almost 5% more than in 2024. The performance of passenger traffic associated with Armas Transmediterránea, which connects Cádiz and the Peninsula with the Canary Islands, remains especially positive and increased by 16.73%. Finally, cruise traffic added up to 227 calls until September (38 in the month of September), which is 7.58% more than in the same period last year, and 430,065 passengers, suffering a decrease of 8.13%, which is explained by the smaller size of the ships that have arrived in the Bay of Cádiz.
