According to a November 23 message on the official website of the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration of the People’s Republic of China, Li Zhiqiang has been appointed as the Party Secretary and Director of the Tianjin Maritime Safety Administration.

Li Zhiqiang, male, Han ethnicity, born in February 1969, member of the Communist Party of China, postgraduate education, holds a Master’s degree in Management.

Began working in August 1991, joined the Communist Party of China in December 1997;

June 2006, served as Director and Party Committee Member of the Tangshan Maritime Safety Administration (at the director level);

August 2010, served as Director and Party Committee Member of the Tangshan Caofeidian Maritime Safety Department;

October 2013, served as Deputy Director and Party Leadership Group Member of the Pearl River Navigation Administration;

October 2019, held a temporary post as Party Leadership Group Member and Deputy Director of the Hainan Provincial Department of Transport (temporary assignment for three years);

2022, served as Party Committee Secretary and Deputy Director of the Nanhai Rescue Bureau.
