Svanehøj continues the expansion of its service business in the Netherlands with the acquisition of H&K Services B.V., which services gas and chemical tankers in the Benelux region. The acquisition is part of the company’s focus on service activities around Rotterdam.

The growing global fleet of gas tankers and LNG-powered vessels has increased the need for maintenance and repair of equipment for handling liquid gas. Therefore, Svanehøj is now strengthening its local presence through the integration of H&K Services into the Dutch subsidiary Svanehoj EPS, the Danish pump manufacturer writes in a press release.

“Svanehoj EPS already constitutes a strong platform for us in the Benelux region in both new sales and service. But we have lacked the gas competencies that we can offer from our other service sites in Denmark, Singapore and Dubai. The acquisition of H&K Services therefore improves our opportunities to service gas customers locally in Rotterdam,” says Søren Kringelholt Nielsen, Group CEO at Svanehøj.

H&K Services was founded in 2013 and has specialized in maintenance and repair of gas pumps and measuring systems. The company contributes, among other things, a workshop in Stellendam for the repair of larger pumps as well as five experienced service technicians.

Earlier this year, Svanehøj took over European Pump Services B.V. – now Svanehoj EPS – which works with sales, integration and service of pump solutions for industry, offshore and marine. With the new acquisition, Svanehoj EPS now employs more than 40 employees spread across two locations in the Netherlands.
