On June 22, the 6th 9000TEU dual-fuel container vessel H1966A built by Hudong-Zhonghua for Singapore’s Pacific International Lines (PIL) ignited and commenced construction in the Second Manufacturing Department of the western plant area. Representatives from the onsite supervision team, representatives from the classification society stationed at the plant, and leaders and guests including Hudong-Zhonghua’s Chief Builder of Civil Products and General Manager of Changxing Shipbuilding, Zuo Dequan, attended the commencement activity.

The 9000TEU dual-fuel power container vessel is a green and environmentally friendly container ship independently researched, designed, and specially tailored by Hudong-Zhonghua for the operational characteristics of Pacific International Lines. The vessel has a total length of approximately 274 meters, a molded breadth of 45.6 meters, a molded depth of 24.8 meters, a maximum container capacity of up to 9040TEU, and can carry 1308 reefer containers. This type of vessel adopts the latest design concepts and is equipped with systems such as a high-efficiency main engine, energy-saving devices, shaft generators, and high-voltage shore power. A series of innovative designs endow this vessel type with characteristics such as low comprehensive energy consumption, strong rapidity, and excellent green environmental protection.

Relying on the mature experience accumulated from the construction of earlier sister vessels, the Second Manufacturing Department has further optimized the production process flow, refined block construction, promoted standardized and refined operation modes, consolidated the foundation for high-quality mass production, and continuously improved construction efficiency, product quality, and production standardization levels, providing customers with high-quality products.
