On June 15, Tsuneishi Group (Zhoushan) Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. successfully delivered the third 5900TEU methanol dual-fuel container ship.
This vessel is a dual-fuel configuration container ship, capable of using methanol as a power fuel in addition to conventional fuel. Methanol fuel, due to its effective reduction of CO₂ emissions during combustion, has become an environmentally friendly alternative fuel highly anticipated by the industry and is also one of the core options for promoting decarbonization in the shipping sector.
Zhoushan Tsuneishi Shipbuilding is continuously advancing the construction of environmentally friendly vessel types, with this ship being the third vessel in the series. Following the delivery of the first two vessels, the delivery of this new ship will further accumulate construction experience for methanol dual-fuel vessels, while also helping to strengthen the company’s capabilities in the research, development, and construction of next-generation environmentally friendly fuel vessels.
In the shipping industry, influenced by increasingly stringent international environmental regulations, market demand for vessels capable of using alternative fuels is rising rapidly. Zhoushan Tsuneishi Shipbuilding will continue to adapt to the increasingly diversified market demands in the future, contributing to the realization of sustainable maritime transportation by building vessels that balance environmental performance and navigation safety.
