Handling of edible oil tankers

Deendayal Port Authority has revised the operational norms for edible oil vessels at Oil Jetty-I (OJ-1), effective immediately from June 23, 2026, as follows:

a. Edible oil tankers may be /shifted for handling at OJ-1 whenever the jetty is vacant and available, subject to vessel suitability, draft, availability of shore line, terminal readiness, safety requirements and overall port convenience.

b. For edible oil tankers handled at OJ-1, the discharge productivity norm shall be reckoned at 150 MT per operational shore line per hour, until further orders.

c. The number of operational shore lines proposed to be used shall be clearly indicated by the /terminal priori to berthing, and the vessel shall maintain continuous discharge in coordination with the receiving terminal.

d. Any stoppage or delay attributable to the vessel, receiver, terminal, statutory formalities, non-availability of shore /line or any other agency shall be regulated as per the prevailing berth /penal berth hire provisions, as applicable.

All other terms and conditions of the prevailing berthing policy and related circulars remain unchanged.
