Diana Shipping secures charter contract for bulker with Paralos Shipping

Diana Shipping announced that, through a wholly owned independent subsidiary, it entered into a time charter contract with Paralos Shipping Pte. Ltd. for one of its Panamax bulk carriers, M/V Ismene, of 77,901 DWT and built in 2013.

The gross charter rate is USD 15,750 per day, less a 5.00% commission paid to third parties, for a period extending from May 15, 2027 at the earliest to July 15, 2027 at the latest. The shipping company expects the charter to commence on July 5, 2026.

According to the company, the M/V Ismene is currently chartered to CRC Shipping Pte. Ltd., at a gross rate of USD 11,000 per day, less a 5.00% commission paid to third parties.

Diana Shipping expects the use of the vessel to generate total gross revenue of approximately USD 4.88 million during the minimum expected period of the charter contract.

Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 36 bulk carriers. The company also expects to receive two new methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax bulk carriers in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028, respectively.
