AEN: The admission tables of new students were published

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Shipping & Island Policy, today Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the lists of admitted students (Captains and Engineers) to the Merchant Marine Academies (A.E.N.) for the academic year 2025-2026 were posted in the Ministry’s offices (Akti Vasileiadi Gate E1-E2 within Piraeus Port and Gr. Lambraki 150) and published online at the electronic addresses and , as stipulated in Chapter IA of the relevant call for applications.

In detail, the following were published:

It is clarified that the lists of admitted students to the A.E.N. contain only the eight-digit candidate code number from the nationwide examinations, the application protocol number submitted to the Ministry of Shipping & Island Policy (Y.N.A.N.P.) for admission to the A.E.N., and the candidate’s success details, but not their personal identification details.

Successful candidates are required to register at the A.E.N. they have been admitted to within ten (10) working days from the announcement of the results, i.e., by Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Those who fail to register within the aforementioned period will be excluded from enrollment, and any vacant positions will be filled once and only once by candidates from the reserve lists of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (Y.PAI.TH.A.).

The necessary documents for student registration at the A.E.N. are as follows:

(a) ID card and a photocopy of it

(b) Four (04) passport-sized color photographs

(c) Photocopy of high school diploma

(d) A sworn affidavit under Law /1986 declaring that they are not enrolled in any other Higher Education Institution (A.E.I.), university or technological sector, or a certificate of deletion if they had previously been enrolled in an A.E.I. It is noted that if the student is already enrolled in an A.E.I. whose Secretariat is not operational during the summer period as per the first paragraph of section 3 of the present announcement, instead of the deletion certificate, they must submit a sworn affidavit under Law /1986 regarding their enrollment in the said A.E.I. and their obligation to submit/send the aforementioned certificate once the A.E.I. Secretariat resumes operation to the A.E.N. where they have been admitted.

Additionally, it is noted that according to the provisions of sections 3.b and 3.c of Article 2 of the Joint Ministerial Decision (K.Y.A.) No. /1303-2025 (Government Gazette B’ 1235), any vacant positions of candidates from General High Schools (G.E.L.) will be filled by candidates from the reserve lists of the corresponding category from Vocational High Schools (E.PA.L.). The said candidate lists for filling the aforementioned vacant positions will be published in a subsequent announcement.
