APS launches bidding to hire maintenance of roads at the Port of Santos

The Port Authority of Santos (APS) made public, on October 2, a tender notice (No. 67/2025) to contract maintenance services for the perimeter roads and in areas under its responsibility. The bidding will receive proposals until October 23. The notice and its annexes are available on the company’s website.

The contract, with a planned term of 30 months, covers the recovery of asphalt pavement and cobblestones, repairs to the stormwater drainage system, and the supply of equipment, materials, and labor for the execution of the works, among other specialized services.

The notice includes new items compared to the previous tender for road maintenance. There is, for example, provision for cold bagged asphalt for immediate repairs, and polymer-modified asphalt which offers a series of advantages over conventional asphalt; a greater quantity of services and other essential items to offer agile solutions and emergency services.

According to the Infrastructure Director of the Port Authority of Santos (APS), Orlando Razões, the new bidding “seeks to ensure roads in good condition, providing fluidity and safety for cargo transport and well-being for the population that circulates on the perimeter roads on the banks of Santos and Guarujá, in addition to preserving public assets and positively contributing to the Port-City relationship.”

The contract value will be defined based on the unit prices presented in the proposal, and payments will be made according to the monthly measurement of services executed and approved by the APS inspection. The winning company must prove experience in executing services of the same nature and complexity.
