The Port Authority of Santos (APS) has expanded its defense capability against cyberattacks on the Port of Santos, a critical infrastructure of Brazil.
In 2025 alone, APS has already invested R$ 33 million (USD 6.1 million) in information technology, aligned with its commitment to the protection of its digital assets and to ensuring the safe continuity of its operations.
One of the actions is the complete renewal of licenses for equipment essential for the defense of its digital environment. Among the most relevant advances of this delivery, the expanded capacity for event registration and analysis stands out, providing greater traceability, auditability, and agility in incident response.
The enabling of real-time threat intelligence also stands out, with services that automatically identify signs of active cyberattacks worldwide, alerting and protecting the APS environment based on globally updated data.
Another element is the proactive detection of threats and attack outbreaks, allowing the adoption of preventive and automated measures against suspicious behaviors, hidden malware, and recently discovered vulnerabilities, supported by mechanisms based on artificial intelligence and behavioral analysis.
According to the entity, this evolution raises the level of APS’s cybersecurity maturity, adapting it to the challenges of the current digital scenario and the growing complexity of our technological ecosystem.
