Ardmore Shipping has introduced SteelCorr’s Digital Paint Report app across its fleet, giving crews a structured way to track corrosion and paint condition. The company says the tool strengthens vessel care and supports safer, more efficient operations. It also reflects Ardmore’s broader push toward digital ship management.
Ardmore Shipping Corporation has completed a fleetwide rollout of SteelCorr, a corrosion monitoring and paint management application now used across all of its vessels. Announced from Bermuda on 24 November 2025, the deployment marks a continued shift toward digital tools that support safety, efficiency and long term asset preservation.
The Digital Paint Report app gives crew a unified platform to document the state of paintwork and identify corrosion using photographs taken on board. These images are analysed automatically to produce reports and highlight trends that help teams plan maintenance activities and manage paint inventory more effectively. Ardmore says the system replaces inconsistent manual processes and brings greater accuracy to routine inspections.
By centralising condition monitoring, the company expects to reduce the risk of unexpected repairs while maintaining the performance of its modern tanker fleet. The reduction in manual reporting also helps free up crew time for core operational tasks, an area that continues to be a priority as vessels become more digitally connected.
