The Regional Port Consortium Mar del Plata participated in a federal meeting on Investments and financing for port projects, a space intended to promote financing opportunities and technical assistance for works and future developments related to port activity.

Within the framework of this session, the president of the Consortium, Marcos Gutiérrez, together with members of his technical team held bilateral meetings with multilateral credit organizations linked to the financing of infrastructure projects in which alternatives and opportunities were analyzed to support the development of the Port of Mar del Plata.

At the meeting, organized by the Federal Investment Council (CFI), representatives of ports from across the country, Argentine provinces, and multilateral credit organizations such as the World Bank, the IDB group (Inter-American Development Bank), CAF and Fonplata, among others, participated.

“Active participation in this type of meeting is vital for our port, as it allows us to advance in the search for tools and financing alternatives for projects,” explained Gutiérrez, who noted that in this case they are targeting proposals that require a minimum amount of 30 million dollars with repayment capacity.

“They are part of the strategic planning of the Port of Mar del Plata on which we have been working steadily, even in an extremely adverse context for the growth and modernization of port activity such as the one we are going through,” explained the president of the port entity.
