The president of the National Association of Ship Agents of Chile (Asonave AG), Gonzalo Fernández, held an institutional coordination meeting with representatives of the Peruvian Maritime Agents Association (Apam). The meeting aimed to generate collaborative actions and strengthen the regional maritime sector.

The meeting was attended by Estenio Pinzás, president of Apam; Sabino Zaconeta Torres, general manager of Apam; and Oscar Gálvez, from B&M Peru. The meeting allowed for the exchange of strategic information on the main challenges and advances in port management and international maritime trade.

Among the topics discussed, the analysis of the progress in the single windows of both countries stood out, as well as the confirmation of joint participation in the General Assembly of the Inter-American Chamber of National Associations of Maritime Agents (Cianam) that will be held in Lima, Peru, in 2026.

During the meeting, the relevance of participation in international organizations such as Cianam and Fonasba was also emphasized, as they promote technical cooperation, the global representation of the sector, and the implementation of international standards in the processes of ship reception and dispatch.

“These dialogue spaces strengthen the coordination between maritime associations in the region and allow for the replication of best practices for the benefit of port efficiency and the competitiveness of our countries,” said Gonzalo Fernández, president of Asonave.
