The Port of Antwerp-Bruges (Belgium) provided an update regarding the evolution of the mobilizations within its premises due to the development of the national strike call. According to official information, maritime traffic maintains its flow without interruptions.
Regarding the Antwerp substation, it was reported that “the Wandelaar pilot station (LKW) is operational with a launch boat since 02:10 AM. SWATH launch operations at LKW were suspended throughout the night due to a strike (May 11), but fully resumed as of 07:45.”
“The Noord pilot station (LKN) is operational. Tugboat services of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges operate at 80% of their capacity (/2). Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) and route planning are fully operational. All bridges and locks are operational, except for the Berendrecht Lock due to scheduled maintenance. There are no restrictions for inbound and outbound traffic,” was added in the statement.
Regarding the Zeebrugge terminal, as in Antwerp, operations were only suspended on Monday night.
