With the aim of strengthening foreign trade operations, a first cargo flight from Copa Airlines arrived from Panama to the Viru Viru International Airport, in the department of Santa Cruz, according to the Ministry of Public Works.
The Minister of Public Works, Mauricio Zamora, participated in the arrival and inspected the unloading process. “Following the guidelines of President Rodrigo Paz to open the country’s skies and strengthen foreign trade operations, new international cargo frequencies are being managed in order to consolidate Viru Viru as the most important hub in Bolivia,” stated the authority.
During his visit to the Viru Viru airport, Zamora also supervised the air cargo services of Navegación Aérea y Aeropuertos Bolivianos (Naabol), verifying the logistics, technical capacity and safety standards to guarantee reliable operations.
