The Uniontrasporti section of Confapi Taranto has a new president. He is the entrepreneur Alessandro Cauzo, administrator together with his brother Daniele of Ecoservizi srl, a concessionary company for the supplementary fire-fighting service in the Port of Taranto and specialized in shipbuilding activities and fire protection and prevention on board ships, oil terminals and containers.
“Cauzo’s election to the helm of Uniontrasporti took place at the end of the assembly for the approval of the budget of the Association of small and medium-sized enterprises of Taranto and occurs at the end of the mandate of his predecessor, the entrepreneur Alberto Rossi, who will take on the prestigious role of national delegate for relations with large industries.
The president of Confapi Taranto, Fabio Greco, expressed to Rossi his appreciation for the commitment shown and the activities carried out during the period in which he held what is a role of great responsibility. And wishes for good work were expressed by President Greco himself and by all the associates present to the one who has been called to lead a fundamental sector for the revival of the territory,” a statement explained.

In this regard, Cauzo, thanking for the assignment entrusted to him, declared: “I assume this mandate with a great sense of responsibility and with the awareness that the work to be carried out will be extremely challenging. It is important to underline that the presidency that is being formed today will also include maritime services and in this perspective we will aim to intensify relations with all those who operate in the sector. We will commit ourselves to opening tables with institutions, authorities, trade union organizations and with the transport section of other associations to present a united front and enhance those companies that guarantee essential services every day. Today more than ever a unitary vision is needed, capable of bringing together businesses, the institutions themselves, trade unions, logistics operators to transform the potential of our port into concrete results. Professional and economic resources must not be wasted: if the problem is one, then forces must be united to face that problem. In agreement with President Greco, we will start a constant dialogue with the Port System Authority. And with the aim of affirming our role as proactive and competent interlocutors, we intend to organize meetings at our headquarters to monitor the activities of the sector and intervene where necessary with proposals and initiatives aimed at further improving its competitiveness.”
