On the morning of July 10th at 10 AM, the first 115,000-ton LR2-type oil tanker (CHB3001), meticulously built by Changhong International for Singapore’s renowned shipowner X-Press Feeders, was successfully delivered under the witness of multiple parties. This achievement lays a solid foundation for the construction of subsequent series vessels and powerfully opens a new chapter in the company’s high-quality development.

The delivery ceremony was conducted via video link, bridging geographical barriers. Representatives from Singaporean shipowner X-Press Feeders, including Ms. Winnifrid Koh, Mr. Goh Jon Hin from the subsidiary Eastway, Mr. Istok, the construction supervision team manager from EPS, and representatives from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), Mr. Pang Maocan and Mr. Mustapha, joined Changhong International Industrial Park’s Executive Vice President Mr. Dai Yayun and New Shipbuilding General Manager Mr. Shen Zhihua in “cloud” witnessing this momentous occasion.

As Changhong International’s pioneering venture into the LR2 oil tanker market, the CHB3001 was delivered 30 days ahead of the contractual deadline. This not only earned high recognition from the shipowner but also accumulated valuable experience and set a benchmark of confidence for the batch construction of similar vessels, injecting strong momentum into the company’s continued expansion in the high-end tanker market.

The CHB3001 was jointly developed by Changhong International and CIMC ORIC (Shanghai) based on the latest international standards, representing the advanced level in the current LR2 oil tanker sector. The vessel has an overall length of 249.9 meters, a length between perpendiculars of 245.5 meters, a beam of 44 meters, a maximum deadweight tonnage of 115,000 tons, a molded depth of 21.5 meters, a structural draft of 15.2 meters, and a cargo capacity of approximately 132,000 cubic meters, capable of carrying around 830,000 barrels of refined oil or crude oil. It is classified by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).

Amid the golden hues of midsummer, with favorable winds filling the sails, Changhong International will take the high-quality delivery of this vessel as a starting point to ignite a new wave of production fervor. The company remains steadfast in its commitment to becoming a world-class shipbuilding enterprise, sailing toward an even broader blue horizon.
