China exports an average of 1 out of every 8 cars from Taicang Port, Jiangsu.

China News Service, Nanjing, May 11 (Shi Chong) Taicang Maritime Safety Administration announced on the 11th that in the first quarter of this year, approximately 280,000 vehicles were exported from Jiangsu Taicang Port, a year-on-year increase of over 90%. During the same period, China’s total vehicle exports reached 2.226 million, meaning that on average, one out of every eight vehicles exported from China departed from Jiangsu Taicang Port.

Taicang Port is the largest vehicle export port in Jiangsu Province and the Yangtze River basin. Export vehicles from vehicle manufacturers along the Yangtze River, including Shanghai, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hubei, and Chongqing, are consolidated here. In the first quarter of this year, vehicles exported from Jiangsu Taicang Port were shipped to 140 countries and regions worldwide. (End)
