On August 10, theship “JIANG HAI ZHI DA 17″departed from Laotangshan Phase IIIterminal in Cengang Port Area of Zhoushan Port, Ningbo, loaded 11,208 tons of imported soybeans from the sea into the river, and went straight to Wuhan, Hubei.
This marks the official opening ofChina’s first direct river-sea “transport capacity pool”.
At present, there are only 5 river-sea directvesselsinChina. This time, there are 4 ships joining the “capacity pool” of the river-sea direct route.
China’s first directriver-sea”capacity pool” is a ship operation alliance model launched by Ningbo Zhoushan Portto give full play to the advantages of river-sea direct ships and further smooth the supply chain and logistics chain between Ningbo Zhoushan Port and the area along the Yangtze River.
