At the 2025 Maritime Silk Road Port Cooperation Forum, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Co., Ltd. signed a joint venture agreement with COSCO Shipping Container Lines Co., Ltd. to jointly establish Ningbo Yuanhai Supply Chain Co., Ltd., creating a digital global integrated logistics supply chain, shipping, and port integration platform.

In recent years, China COSCO Shipping Corporation has deeply participated in the construction of the shipping and trade supply chain within Zhejiang Province, assisting the province in building a comprehensive supply chain network and opening nearly 90 domestic and international trade routes. Nowadays, major shipping companies are all striving to develop end-to-end, door-to-door full logistics services. Ports have the most extensive connections with hinterland cargo owners in inland collection and distribution, accumulating the deepest experience. For shipping companies to promote full logistics services, cooperation with ports is indispensable. For terminals, the growth space for traditional handling operations is limited. By joining forces with leading shipping companies to enter the entire supply chain, they can also gain a share in the logistics chain. Therefore, establishing joint ventures is currently the main theme of port-shipping cooperation and a major trend in industry development.
