Costamare Bulkers has signed a broad partnership with Cargill that shifts much of its trading book, including chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments, to the commodity giant. Four supramax vessels will also be fixed to Cargill short-term. The agreement extends to bunkering through Seascale Energy, joint decarbonisation projects, and potential co-investments in bulk tonnage. Costamare CEO Gregory Zikos said the move reduces exposure to volatile freight markets while securing steadier earnings, while Cargill highlighted the deal’s role in expanding its fleet and customer service capacity.
