The vessel Zhen Hua 25 docked at Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT) to deliver two new shore container cranes representing a significant investment in modernization and increasing cargo handling capacity.
The ship had departed from the Port of Shanghai on September 25, 2025 and, after more than 16,100 nautical miles, arrived at the Port of Rijeka.
Over the next few days the container cranes will be unloaded, technical tests and preparations for commissioning will be carried out, and their full inclusion in the terminal’s operational operation is expected by the end of the year.
The cranes are manufactured by ZPMC, units that represent the latest generation of Super Post Panamax container bridges, specifically designed to meet the operational requirements of AGCT, including custom load reinforcements. These cranes are also the first prototypes of a new series.
This new equipment will allow AGCT to receive and service the largest container ships sailing the world’s seas today.
“AGCT continues to invest in modern equipment to support the future development of the terminal and strengthen the competitiveness of the Rijeka transport route to the markets of Central and Southeast Europe,” AGCT stated.
