Crystal announced that the contract for the construction of the third next-generation cruise ship, entrusted to the Italian shipyard Fincantieri, is now in force. The vessel, whose delivery is scheduled for 2034, is covered by the option exercised in 2024 and reflects the shipping company’s continued investment in the future of luxury travel.

The new ship will join the Crystal Grace, currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, whose debut is scheduled for 2028, along with its sister ship, which will arrive in May 2031.

“Seeing the Crystal Grace go from a vision to a reality has been tremendously rewarding, and today’s announcement demonstrates our unwavering confidence in Crystal’s future. This third ship reflects our long-term commitment to the brand and to our guests, who continue to inspire us to raise the standard of luxury cruises around the world,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, executive chairman of A&K Travel Group.

Cristina Levis, chief executive officer of A&K Travel Group, noted that “the reception of the Crystal Grace has exceeded our expectations, reaffirming the demand for authentic and exceptional travel experiences. With each new ship, we build on Crystal’s legacy, while carefully developing the experience for a new generation of luxury travelers.”

“The effectiveness of the contract signed in 2024 is proof of the strength of our alliance with Crystal and A&K Travel Group, and reflects our shared commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and excellence. We are proud to continue building a new generation of luxury vessels that combine the expertise of Italian shipbuilding with Crystal’s unwavering vision of delivering exceptional hospitality at sea,” said Luigi Matarazzo, general manager of Fincantieri’s Merchant Ships Division.
