At 11:00 on June 30, the No. 3 41,800-ton self-unloading vessel built by CSSC Chengxi Yangzhou Shipyard Co., Ltd. was successfully launched. Luo Fuxiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Yangzhou Company, along with the shipowner, classification society representatives, and heads of relevant departments, jointly witnessed this important moment.
The project seized the golden period of the slipway, leveraged the mature experience of the No. 2 sister vessel, continuously optimized processes and procedures, scientifically coordinated cross-operations, strictly controlled milestones, and steadily improved construction quality and efficiency—the slipway cycle was shortened by another 5 days compared to the No. 2 vessel, with significant improvements in efficiency and completeness.
Currently, all structures below the main deck and the aft superstructure have been completed and handed over for inspection. The tightness testing of compartments and structural strength acceptance have been successfully completed. A total of 23 systems in the fore and aft engine rooms have been handed over for inspection. Electrical construction has been accelerated simultaneously, with a total of 130 kilometers of ship-wide cable laying completed, an increase of 20 kilometers compared to the No. 2 vessel, greatly enhancing system integrity. The painting of the high and low voltage switchboard rooms and the central control room has been completed, and the project has fully transitioned to the insulation installation phase. All disciplines are smoothly connected, and the overall pace is steady and efficient, laying a solid foundation for subsequent commissioning.
On July 1, the reference block of the No. 4 41,800-ton self-unloading vessel was loaded onto the slipway for assembly.
