WK Webster reports that Cargo ship Darya Shanti (IMO 9711145), which was left not under command on
July 8th in the North Pacific west of the Queen Charlotte Islands, was taken
under tow by tug towards Prince Rupert Port.
The ship was en route from Prince Rupert to Gwangyang,
South Korea. The ship was disabled and adrift . On July 10th a patrol ship of
the USCG went on standby.
2016-built, Hong Kong-flagged, 44,190 gt Darya Shanti is
owned by Shanti Shipping Ltd care of manager Chellaram Shipping (Hong Kong) Ltd
of Hong Kong, China. It is entered with Standard Club (Standard Asia) on behalf
of Shanti Shipping Ltd. As of July 17th the vessel was listed as NUC west of
Prince Rupert Port, British Columbia, Canada.
