Decisive Battle in the Fourth Quarter! Fujian Shipbuilding Intensifies Its 100-Day Campaign: Focusing on Main Ship Types, Striving to Win the Finale; Deepening Collaborative Efforts, Strengthening Precise Resource Support, and Charging Towards Annual Targets with Greater Drive and Tougher Work Style.

Xiamen Port 5000 HP New Energy Tugboat Successfully Completes Sea Trials

On November 18th, the Xiamen Port 5000 HP new energy tugboat (DN643-2), built by Southeast Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, for Xiamen Port Shipping, successfully completed its sea trials and returned in triumph.

This vessel type was independently developed by Fujian Ship Research & Design Institute. It has an overall length of 38.30 meters, a breadth of 10.60 meters, and a depth of 4.90 meters. With a battery capacity of approximately 7300 kWh, it offers an endurance of no less than 8 hours at a calm water speed of 8 knots. It meets intelligent energy efficiency requirements, providing auxiliary decision-making and suggestions for ship energy efficiency management. This vessel type meets the operational requirements for coastal port areas, is suitable for coastal navigation, and assists in berthing/unberthing and dock entry/exit operations for ships like container vessels and bulk carriers within port areas. It is classed by the China Classification Society (CCS).

This project actively responds to the provincial government’s call for “Electric Fujian” and green, low-carbon development. It is a concrete practice in implementing the national “Dual Carbon” strategy, fully demonstrating Fujian Shipbuilding’s exemplary and leading role in the field of electric vessels. Next, Fujian Shipbuilding will actively advance the delivery of this vessel, making a final all-out sprint to ensure its early entry into operation. With its outstanding green and intelligent performance, it aims to lead the high-quality development of the electric vessel industry.

9000DWT Asphalt Carrier Launched

On November 19th, the 9000DWT asphalt carrier (MW518-2), built by Mawei Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding, was successfully launched.

This vessel type has an overall length of 119.8 meters, a breadth of 21.2 meters, a depth of 11.2 meters, and a design draft of 7.1 meters. It is an unlimited navigation area vessel, primarily used for transporting liquid petroleum asphalt and petroleum products (flash point greater than 60°C). Its endurance is approximately 12,000 nautical miles at a service speed of 13 knots. The vessel has a total of eight cargo oil tanks with a total cargo hold capacity of about 9,500 cubic meters. It is equipped with a pre-propeller duct to improve propulsion efficiency and a side thruster cover to reduce side thruster tunnel resistance. It is classed by the CCS.

Following the successful launch, the project team will continue to strictly implement the “Three Guarantees” principle of “guaranteeing quality, progress, and safety.” They will solidly advance key subsequent stages such as outfitting at the dock, sea trials, and delivery. Through meticulous organizational management and efficient resource coordination, they aim to ensure the vessel is delivered with high quality and on schedule.
