DEME wins €50–150 million contract for Nordseecluster B offshore wind farm in Germany

DEME has secured a contract valued between €50 million and €150 million to perform the transport and installation of inter-array cables for the Nordseecluster B offshore wind farm in Germany, the company said in a statement.

The Nordseecluster is a joint project of RWE, which holds a 51% stake, and Norges Bank Investment Management with 49%.

Located about 50 kilometers north of the island of Juist in the German North Sea, the Nordseecluster combines several wind farm sites with a total capacity of up to 1.6 GW, projected to supply electricity equivalent to 1.6 million homes.

RWE is responsible for construction and operations across the lifecycle of the offshore wind farms.

For the second stage, Nordseecluster B, DEME will install 124 kilometers of inter-array cables, connecting 60 turbine foundations to the offshore substation.

The contract scope includes engineering, preparation, and supporting activities.

The work is scheduled to begin towards the end of 2027, with DEME deploying its vessel Living Stone and additional supporting equipment.
