The Dominican Port Authority (Apordom) obtained a rating of 99.12 out of 100 points in the most recent evaluation carried out by the Directorate of Transparency and Open Government of the Dominican Republic, corresponding to the month of July 2025.
According to the entity, the result reflects the institution’s sustained effort to guarantee compliance with current regulations, accountability, and the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Among the highest-rated aspects were the full compliance with the institution’s legal and regulatory framework; the strengthening of the Office of Free Access to Information, ensuring citizens’ right to clear and timely information; also the responsible execution of the institutional budget and transparency in procurement and contracting processes.
Furthermore, they highlighted the implementation of strategic planning, human resources, and social assistance programs in favor of efficiency and institutional well-being and the publication of open data and updated statistics, facilitating social control and innovation.
The executive director of Apordom, Jean Luis Rodríguez Jiménez, emphasized that this recognition is the result of teamwork, administrative discipline, and the vision to modernize the national port system under the highest standards of transparency.
“We are committed to continue strengthening every area of the Port Authority to guarantee an efficient, transparent service that meets the country’s demands. This achievement motivates us to continue innovating and raising citizen confidence in our management,” expressed Rodríguez.
