On July 17, Shandong Marine Group and Shanghai Maritime University held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony at Shandong Marine Building, marking a solid step forward in their collaboration on industry-education integration, talent cultivation, and scientific research innovation. Shanghai Maritime University President Chu Beiping and Shandong Marine Group Party Secretary and Chairman Jiang Guodong attended and witnessed the signing.
Under the agreement, both parties will adhere to the principles of “resource sharing, complementary advantages, mutual development, and win-win cooperation.” Aiming to cultivate outstanding industry talent, promote technological innovation, and drive high-quality development, they will deepen collaboration in areas such as joint talent training, scientific research, decision-making consultation, personnel and academic exchanges, and cultural co-construction. The partnership seeks to establish a long-term, stable, and mutually beneficial relationship, jointly contributing wisdom and strength to building China into a maritime power.
During the ceremony, the unveiling of the “Industry-Education Integration Joint Postgraduate Training Base” and the appointment ceremony for postgraduate industry mentors were also held, injecting new vitality into deepening strategic cooperation and advancing integrated industry-academia-research development in the maritime sector.
Representatives from relevant departments and schools of Shanghai Maritime University, as well as leaders from Shandong Marine Group’s departments and affiliated enterprises, attended the event.
