Tensions continue between Uiltrasporti and Sers after the skirmishes of recent months.
The union has just proclaimed a 9-day consecutive strike, from October 13 to 22, 2025, of all workers of the Sers tugboats in Ravenna (MSC group). The abstention will involve all supplementary, extraordinary, and flexible shift services, maintaining only the ordinary hours of 06:00–16:00.
“The proclamation of the strike was necessary – states a note from Uiltrasporti – following the attitude of the company which, despite the cooling-off procedure being in progress, deemed it appropriate to preclude its continuation by excluding the undersigned, despite repeated requests, from the meetings for the renewal of the Company Integrative Contract without having in any way identified solutions, in the previous meetings, to the issues highlighted by Uiltrasporti, in addition to having, in fact, avoided signing the minutes of the meeting of /2025 despite it having been shared via email.”
Furthermore, “the multiple solicitations by the undersigned to be summoned have proven fruitless,” stigmatized the union, denouncing the “blatant violation of the most elementary rules on trade union relations by Sers. In fact, the company’s avoidance of any confrontation with the undersigned has not only excluded the possibility of obtaining minutes signed by the parties regarding the meeting of /2025 but makes it impossible to produce a minutes of failed agreement, following the fruitless cooling-off and conciliation procedure, effectively concluded with a negative outcome, which could be attached to this document. Uiltrasporti confirms, as justification for the declaration of strike, everything expressed in the declaration of a state of agitation.”
