Genoa, – “The inauguration of the two new railway tracks between Genoa Voltri and Sampierdarena marks a fundamental step for the mobility of the territory and for the entire logistics system of the North West.” – This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Edoardo Rixi – “With the quadrupling of the Genoa Node, the city makes a qualitative leap in railway connections, increasingly becoming the heart of European freight and passenger flows. This work completes a strategic piece that will allow the separation of local traffic from long-distance and freight traffic, improving the regularity of services and reducing travel times. It is the concrete sign of a Government that invests in modern, safe, and integrated infrastructure, restoring to Genoa its role as the main logistics hub of the Mediterranean.”
