Fincantieri has signed a new contract with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. (NCLH) for the construction of an ultra-luxury cruise ship to be operated by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, the company said in a news release.

The agreement, classified by Fincantieri as “large,” is valued between 500 million and 1 billion euros, subject to financing and standard contractual conditions.

The new ship, scheduled for delivery in 2033, will be the third vessel in the Prestige Class, following “Seven Seas Prestige,” set for delivery in 2026, and another sister ship expected in 2030. With a gross tonnage of 77,000 tons, a length of 257 meters, and capacity for 822 passengers, the vessel will feature one of the highest guest-to-space ratios in the cruise industry and incorporate advanced environmental technologies.

Fincantieri and NCLH have maintained one of the industry’s most enduring partnerships, with the Italian shipbuilder having delivered ten ships across NCLH’s brands to date. The current order book includes thirteen additional vessels for Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises.
