Savino Del Bene has announced the completion of its new logistics hub in Peschiera Borromeo, which will house its Milan branch as well as those of its subsidiaries Albatrans, Aprile and General Noli.
The project, which began in 2021, led to the construction on a disused site of a warehouse of over 12,000 square meters, with 3,000 square meters of office space, 400 square meters of dedicated customs warehouse. The facility also includes temperature-controlled areas (+4°C; +15°C) for 250 square meters, intended particularly for the Food and Beverage sector.
“For a long time, we wanted to equip Milan with a more modern, efficient, commercially attractive, sustainable from a work perspective, and international branch,” commented Stefano Marranci, Managing Director Italy of the company. “This global push meets the desire to closely follow the clientele, as also confirmed by the other investments in Lombardy in Montichiari (Bs) and Bergamo and the enhancement of the Milan Project Branch (Milano Bovisa)”.
The building project, which as mentioned involved the redevelopment of the area where a disused industrial warehouse was present, included the installation of a 500kw photovoltaic system.
