Martin Egvang, head of the Danish shipping company Lauritzen Bulkers until last year, has joined the newly founded company Danbulk. He will become Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Egvang has been CEO of Lauritzen Bulkers, based in Copenhagen, since 2024. Prior to that, he had been founder and CEO of Integrity Bulk since 2014. Egvang resigned from his position at Lauritzen in March last year, citing stress-related problems. Lauritzen Bulkers restructured its management shortly afterwards.

After taking some time out – Egvang stated on Linkedin that he was “semi-retired” – he joined Danbulk, another Danish shipping company, on May 1. He brings “strong commercial understanding, industry knowledge and strategic foresight” to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“We are very pleased to welcome Martin as Chairman of the Board of Directors,” said CEO Thomas Nielsen. “With his experience and expertise, we are gaining a strong personality to lead the Board of Directors. We look forward to working together to further develop Danbulk and create even greater value for our customers and business partners worldwide.”

In addition to Martin Egvang as Chairman, the Danbulk Board of Directors includes Kim Larsen as Vice Chairman, Martin Kristensen and CEO Nielsen.
