Guijiang Shipbuilding Commences Construction of Three Tugs for Southeast Asian Shipowner on the Same Day

On July 8, the construction of three 29-meter twin-propeller tugboats, undertaken by Guijiang Shipbuilding Company under CSSC Guangxi, officially commenced. Representatives from the shipowner company, TANZIL TJHIN and NAUFALDI YUSUF ADITAMA, along with leaders from Guijiang Shipbuilding, attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone in their collaboration.

This project marks a key achievement in the deepened partnership between Guijiang Shipbuilding and the shipowner, following the 2024 order for four tugboats of the same type. It further solidifies the company’s reputation in the Southeast Asian tugboat market.

With an overall length of 28.8 meters, a beam of 9 meters, and a depth of 4.2 meters, the vessel features an all-steel structure and is powered by two 1360HP high-speed diesel engines. It will be classified by RINA with the notations CHULL, MACH, TUG, INWATERSURVEY, and Unrestricted Navigation, ensuring robust towing performance and broad navigational adaptability to meet operational demands in Southeast Asia’s complex waters.

Following the project launch, Guijiang Shipbuilding will mobilize its top resources to advance construction with high standards and strict requirements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of reliable and premium vessels for the shipowner. Additionally, the company will leverage this opportunity to further expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market and achieve its annual shipbuilding and operational targets.
