On July 4, 2025, entrusted by the Personnel and Education Department of the Ministry of Transport, the headquarters of the China Classification Society (CCS) convened a cadre meeting. Cai Yanxian, Secretary of the Party Committee of CCS, announced the appointment and removal decisions issued by the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China and the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Transport: Comrade Jiang Yafeng was appointed as Deputy Director, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, and Member of the Party Committee of CCS; Comrade Zhang Qingwen was appointed as Deputy Director, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, and Member of the Party Committee of CCS. Comrades Jiang Yafeng and Zhang Qingwen delivered statements expressing their commitment to their new roles.
Comrade Zhao Yan, Director of CCS, provided an explanation regarding the recent leadership adjustments. He outlined key priorities for the new leadership team in the immediate and near future, emphasizing four key areas: upholding political principles with clarity, persistently strengthening leadership and team-building, uniting efforts to drive development, and rigorously advancing the construction of a clean and honest Party conduct.
Members of the CCS leadership team in Beijing, mid-level officials from the headquarters, and heads of directly affiliated institutions in Beijing attended the meeting.
