On September 9, Hebei Port Group and South Korea’s Incheon Port Corporation signed a friendship port cooperation agreement in Qinhuangdao.
According to reports, Hebei Port Group has close contacts with Incheon Port, and the two sides have formed a multi-level route network. At present, Hebei Port Group is building the “Qinren New Era” passenger and cargo ro-ro ship, which is 180 meters long, 6,800 tons, can carry 748 passengers and 350 TEU, and is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2026.
Cao Ziyu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Hebei Port Group, said that the conclusion of friendly port relations between the two sides marks a new stage of comprehensive deepening and common development of cooperation, and is a new starting point for cooperation between the two sides. Hebei Port Group will strengthen communication and deepen exchanges and cooperation with Incheon Port Corporation in cross-border e-commerce, bonded warehousing, international logistics, China-South Korea route construction, smart green port construction, passenger operation, cultural exchanges, etc.
