Hurtigruten, the authentic travel expert on Norway and its stunning coastline, has launched its /2028 season, with cruises departing through April 2028 now bookable. To celebrate, the cruise line is offering a 10% discount on select departures of its yet-to-be-launched Signature Limited Collection itineraries and of its legacy itinerary, the Original Voyages, which it has operated since 1893, when booking by June 21, 2026.
Hurtigruten is also hosting two webinars about its /28 sailings, one for trade and one for consumers on May 15. For travel advisors, the trade webinar is at 2pm EST, with registration here, while consumers can register here for the 3pm EST webinar.
The three new Signature Limited Collection cruises, announced in February, are part of Hurtigruten’s Signature concept, a curated portfolio of elevated voyages that showcase Norway through immersive itineraries, premium inclusions, and a slower pace of travel. It includes Hurtigruten’s first-ever fjords-only itinerary (The Inner Fjords Explorer), first-ever journey purely above the Arctic Circle (The Arctic Circle Explorer), and its first itinerary starting or ending in Copenhagen, Denmark (The Arctic Line). They immediately became some of the cruise line’s most popular voyages.
The 10% discount is available on select departures from April 2027 through March 2028, offering guests the opportunity to experience Norway across every season, from the Midnight Sun in summer to winter beneath the Northern Lights. The discounted 2027 and 2028 departures can be found at /norway-cruise-new-season, with the offer expiring on June 21, 2026.
“Today’s travelers want more than a cruise; they want an experience that feels personal, meaningful and deeply connected to the destination,” said Carly Biggart, Head of Hurtigruten Americas. “That’s exactly what our new Signature Limited Collection delivers, with smaller ships that can reach hidden corners of Norway that no other cruise line can access. After an incredibly strong response to the three itineraries launched in February, we’re excited to open the /28 season and give travel advisors even more opportunities to offer their clients so many different unique and immersive Norwegian coastal experiences.”
The three new itineraries part of the Signature Limited Collection are:
- The Inner Fjords Explorer: Launching in April 2027, this is Hurtigruten’s first fjord-only itinerary and its most immersive fjord voyage to date.
- The Arctic Line (/ Southbound): Launching in December 2027, this new winter voyage between Copenhagen, Hurtigruten’s first home port in Denmark, and Tromsø, the Arctic Line explores Norway’s Arctic coastline, including Lofoten, the North Cape, Alta, and Tromsø, with extended time beneath the auroral oval; and
- The Arctic Circle Explorer: Launching in January 2028, this new eight-day winter roundtrip voyage from Tromsø sails entirely above the Arctic Circle, visiting Lofoten, Alta, and Honningsvåg, with extended opportunities to witness the Northern Lights.
This eight-day spring and autumn journey explores Lysefjord, Hardangerfjord, Sognefjord, and Nordfjord, reaching destinations larger ships cannot access;
Across the Signature collection, guests enjoy all-inclusive dining and beverages, regionally inspired cuisine, handpicked excursions, and thoughtfully designed onboard experiences that create a deeper connection to Norway’s nature, culture, and coastal communities.
Hurtigruten’s Original Coastal voyages are the authentic route that has connected Norwegian communities for generations. Sailing to 34 ports along the coastline, these voyages continue to offer travelers a uniquely local perspective on everyday life in Norway.
