The new infrastructure at the cruise station features eight registration kiosks and will operate complementarily to the existing manual procedures, automating the entry and exit checks of third-country nationals.
The goal is to accelerate procedures, improve the passenger experience, and enhance security in international passenger flows.
The President of the Port Authority, Beatriz Calzada, characterized the project as an important step for the digitalization of the port system and the harmonization of the port with European smart border management strategies.
The project is implemented based on the relevant EU regulations.
