China News Service, Nanjing, November 28 (Liang Kun, Wu Kanke) On the 28th, the “Ding Han”, the largest general cargo ship since the opening of Jiangyin Port in Jiangsu, completed loading and slowly departed from the Sunan International Container Terminal in Jiangyin, heading directly to Norway, with an estimated voyage time of 28 days. This marks the first time Jiangyin has executed an export task to Europe using the integrated “Breakbulk-Container Coordination” operation mode.

The “Ding Han” has a length of 227 meters and a width of 32 meters. This voyage carries 4800 cubic meters of mechanical equipment and 200 special containers, which arrived in Jiangyin via a “rail-to-water” intermodal transport method.
In recent years, the Jiangyin Maritime Safety Administration has continuously enhanced support for foreign trade routes, assisting Jiangyin Port in opening 7 new ocean-going foreign trade routes. According to statistics from the Jiangyin Maritime Safety Administration, in the first ten months of this year, the cumulative volume of foreign trade export cargo shipped via Jiangyin Port reached 2.863 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 34.6%.
