Maersk Greater China President Ding Zejuan led her team to attend the signing ceremony together with ZTE Corporation Senior Vice President Yang Jianming and his team.

On September 28, Maersk and ZTE Corporation officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at ZTE’s headquarters. During the signing ceremony, Maersk and ZTE reviewed their 13-year cooperation history and discussed future logistics collaboration directions. Both parties outlined a comprehensive blueprint covering everything from ocean to air freight, and from digitalization to green innovation, committed to building a new model for the intelligent logistics transformation of the high-tech industry, jointly promoting a new supply chain blueprint, and helping Chinese “smart” manufacturing go global.

Maersk Greater China President Ding Zejuan emphasized at the signing ceremony: “I am full of anticipation for the prospects of cooperation between Maersk and ZTE. By combining ZTE’s technological advantages in areas like 5G, cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence with Maersk’s strong global logistics network capabilities, we will jointly explore new opportunities in smart logistics and digital transformation, setting new benchmarks for the industry.”

ZTE Corporation Senior Vice President Yang Jianming mentioned: “Since ZTE and Maersk formally signed the strategic cooperation agreement, the two sides have carried out in-depth cooperation in the field of ocean freight direct supply and established an efficient and smooth high-level communication mechanism. Maersk has fully leveraged its advantages, made every effort to ensure capacity supply, and shared industry information timely and selflessly, solving many challenges in logistics transportation for ZTE. The renewal of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a new starting point for complementary advantages, information sharing, and mutual benefit and win-win between the two parties.”

Chinese high-tech brands, represented by communication network equipment, cloud computing servers, and intelligent terminal equipment, often encounter difficulties when expanding globally — challenges such as insufficient supply chain resilience under the influence of geopolitics and market uncertainty, fluctuations in forecast and demand accuracy under an order-driven model, and non-real-time cargo tracking. Maersk is helping Chinese companies build more stable and controllable global supply chains through its end-to-end integrated logistics capabilities.

Ocean Freight Twin Star Network: Creating Global Main Routes with High Punctuality Rates

The Maersk “Twin Star Network” achieves higher schedule stability and transportation efficiency by reducing port nodes and optimizing dynamic routes. For example, the route from South China to Rotterdam, Netherlands, can achieve a direct transit time of 34 days, with a schedule reliability rate reaching 98.2% in July-August this year, significantly improving product delivery timeliness and stability for customers.

Self-operated Air Freight Routes: Seizing Market Opportunities with Speed

Relying on multiple Boeing freighters and seven self-operated global hub sites, Maersk has built an efficient and secure global air network. For instance, the newly added Hangzhou – Santiago, Chile route achieves a 32-hour direct transit time and 100% punctuality rate. This not only precisely meets the extreme timeliness requirements of the high-tech and fast-moving consumer goods industries but also ensures stable cargo supply through a fully controllable process.

Multimodal Transport and Local Services: Bringing Global Logistics a Step “Closer”

To address corporate export and local fulfillment needs, Maersk provides an integrated service model combining ocean freight + /road + customs clearance + storage + distribution, achieving high-frequency deliveries across multiple ports and batches. With a one-stop process design, Maersk ensures seamless connection at every step, making the global delivery of Chinese manufacturing smoother.

Digitalization and Visibility: Making Supply Chain Management Smarter

Maersk utilizes advanced digital information systems to achieve end-to-end supply chain visibility, real-time alerts, and dynamic optimization, helping customers enhance their capabilities in cargo tracking, inventory management, and risk decision-making in complex market environments. From production planning to final delivery, every link of the supply chain is monitored and optimized in real-time to ensure goods reach their destination efficiently and safely.

Green Transformation and Sustainable Development: Making Growth More Considerate

Maersk is promoting environmental protection and sustainable development through green energy transition and full-chain service innovation, aiming to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040, helping various companies build sustainable supply chains, and enhancing their responsibility and influence in environmental, social, and governance aspects while expanding globally.

From route planning to warehouse network construction, from digital capabilities to green commitments, Maersk always focuses on “integration, innovation, and sustainability” as its core, helping Chinese high-tech brands accelerate forward on the global stage. In an uncertain market environment, it builds more certain and resilient supply chain competitiveness. In the future, Maersk will leverage its core logistics capabilities to help more Chinese companies break through supply chain bottlenecks and enhance their global competitiveness.
