Manzanillo Port Terminals receive new cranes

The Port of Manzanillo, in Mexico, received new cranes for its terminals operated by the companies SSA Marine and Contecon, a subsidiary of ICTSI. The equipment is from the brand ZPMC and arrived at the port complex via the heavy load vessel Zhen Hua 37 from China.

The machines destined for SSA Marine are two Ship to Shore cranes, while Contecon received three RTGs.

The Administration of the National Port System (Asipona) of Manzanillo stated that “the SSA Marine and Contecon terminals stand out for their great vision projects in the port of Manzanillo, investing significant sums in the acquisition of first-generation equipment with which they become more competitive and efficient day by day, thus contributing to the development of the port of Manzanillo, the activation and boost of trade, and the generation of quality jobs.”

The state entity valued the arrival of the new equipment, considering that it guarantees the efficiency and good practices of the main Mexican port along with facilitating the attraction of new investments.
