The Marín Board of Directors has approved the extension of the agreement with the Consellería do Mar for the transfer of use of the ‘A Aixola’ Training Center within the public port domain managed by the Port Authority of Marín and Ría de Pontevedra. A Aixola carries out continuous and occupational training activities aimed at workers in the fishing sector. The transfer will be extended for 4 years.
During the Board of Directors meeting, traffic figures were reported, in which the port records figures close to two million tons of cargo movements. Among the goods that are growing this year, non-containerized general cargo stands out, especially fruits and vegetables, construction materials, frozen fish, wind components or iron and steel products.
