Feeder Boxship CT Rotterdam (IMO 9395575) suffered an engine failure in the Celtic Sea on October 19th while en route from Dublin to Rotterdam. A tug was tasked to tow the disabled ship to Waterford. The ships entered the port of Waterford on October 20th at 11:30 local time.
2009-built, Cyprus-flagged, 8,273 gt CT Rotterdam is owned by Contarga Ltd care of manager USC Bamkrug GmbH of Drochtersen, Germany. It is entered with Skuld (Skuld Oslo 1) on behalf of Contarga Ltd. As of October 22nd the vessel was moored at Waterford, Ireland.
Bulk carrier Irma (IMO 9180396) contacted a gantry crane by the ship’s cranes, damaging both gantry crane and ship’s cranes, during the morning of October 20th while shifting berth at Puerto Moin, Costa Rica. The gantry crane was reported not to have suffered serious damage and to have been able to resume operations. However, two of the ship’s three cranes did look as if they had suffered severe damage. The vessel had arrived at Puerto Moin on October 19th, from Gdansk, Poland. As of October 22nd it remained moored at Moin.
2000-built, Cyprus-flagged, 21,287 gt Irma is owned by Irma Navigation care of manager Polska Zegluga Morska PP (Polsteam) of Szczecin, Poland. It is entered with Gard P&I on behalf of Irma Navigation Ltd Limassol-Cyprus. For Hull it is entered with Gard (claims leader) on behalf of Polsteam.
General cargo ship Troubadour (IMO 9463865) was reported to have run aground twice on October 19th when approaching the channel of Nakskov port, Nakskov Fjord, Denmark, in the Baltic Area. The ship first ran aground during the morning, but managed to refloat by its own means, but then grounded again a short way up the fairway. The vessel is loaded
with alcohol and tobacco, but thankfully no damage or water ingress was reported.
2011-built, Latvia-flagged, 1,801 gt Troubadour is owned and managed by Baltnautic Shipping Ltd of Klaipeda, Lithuania. As of October 22nd it was at Nakskov Anchorage.
