A vessel has sunk some 51 nautical miles west of Yemen’s Hodeidah, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on Wednesday, without identifying the ship.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the area, UKMTO said.
Earlier, rescuers pulled six crew members alive from the Red Sea and 15 were still missing from the second of two ships sunk in recent days in attacks claimed by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi militia.
