Marlink announced the implementation of a hybrid network platform to support the connectivity and cybersecurity solutions on board 50 vessels controlled by the bulker operator Polsteam.
The SealinkNextGen hybrid network solution will support the company’s transition towards digitized maritime operations, improving safety and efficiency, while facilitating high-quality communications for the crew. Polsteam will also use Marlink’s Unified Threat Management (UTM) solution to enhance the cyber resilience of its maritime operations.
Marlink will leverage its expertise as a managed services provider to upgrade the hybrid network solution on board, integrating Starlink LEO Internet with traditional VSAT, managed by its XChange platform to enhance the options available for business applications and improve the connectivity available for crews.
Polsteam, the largest operator of dry bulk cargo vessels in Eastern Europe, has 70 years of uninterrupted experience in international shipping.
“Our international fleet requires us to maintain a high level of interaction between captains and managers, using increasingly advanced collaboration tools. The Marlink solution allows us to optimize our remote operations in a secure environment, increasing efficiency and leisure options for our crews,” said Adam Rogucki, Technical Director of Polsteam.
