On October 9, a reporter learned from Chongqing Logistics Group that a shipment of 27 containers of recycled paper pulp from Thailand recently arrived at Chongqing Jiangjin Luohuang Port via the New Western Land-Sea Corridor. After completing transloading, it was efficiently loaded onto the “Qianli Qingzhou” freight liner and transported to Yongchuan Port via the Yangtze River Golden Waterway. The successful arrival of this batch of goods marks the strategic and seamless integration of the “New Western Land-Sea Corridor” and the “Yangtze River Golden Waterway” in Chongqing, facilitated by the “Qianli Qingzhou” link. This successfully establishes a new “Sea-Rail-River” integrated international transport artery running through “Qinzhou Port – Luohuang Port – Yongchuan Port”.
The “Qianli Qingzhou” project is an innovative freight liner service launched by Chongqing Municipality on July 25 this year. The project utilizes the “Five Fixed” (fixed ports, fixed routes, fixed schedules, fixed timings, fixed vessels) liner model as its core, committed to building a “water bus” freight system for the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It aims to systematically reduce social logistics costs and enhance regional logistics resilience. Currently, the project has achieved normalized and efficient operation. Since its maiden voyage, the five pilot routes have cumulatively transported 298,000 tons of cargo and 10,899 TEUs, covering various cargo types including grain and oil, steel, auto parts, minerals, and chemicals. The service efficiency and network resilience are beginning to show. Among them, the Luohuang – Wanzhou Xintian Port route operated by Chongqing Logistics Group handled 160 TEUs, and the Guoyuan Port – Shuifu Port container route handled 10,739 TEUs, providing stable and reliable logistics support for industries along the river.
