On October 10, 2025, the 40,000-ton deck transport vessel “KING ONE,” built by Dajin Heavy Industry, was successfully launched.
The “KING ONE” is a large deck transport vessel designed and developed by Dajin Heavy Industry for transporting offshore engineering equipment such as offshore wind power and oil and gas equipment. It has a length of 240 meters, a beam of 51 meters, and a depth of 13 meters, with a deck area of 12,000 square meters and a maximum deadweight capacity of 40,000 tons. Featuring a vertical bulbous bow design and equipped with twin engines and twin propellers, the vessel can reach a speed of 13 knots and has a range of 16,000 nautical miles. Its cargo capacity, loading and unloading methods, and transport efficiency are perfectly suited to the transportation needs of large offshore equipment.
The Dajin Shipbuilding Base, established in 2022, is one of Dajin Heavy Industry’s three offshore engineering bases around the Bohai Bay. Its mission is to benchmark against world-class shipbuilding enterprises and provide customers with high-standard, high-quality, and high-value-added products and services. Its main products include large deck transport vessels, semi-submersible ships, and heavy-lift vessels, among other offshore engineering ships. Currently, the base’s order book is scheduled for delivery through 2029.
The successful launch of this first vessel fully demonstrates Dajin’s robust shipbuilding capabilities and marks an important milestone in the expansion of Dajin’s business scope from wind power equipment manufacturing to the entire industry chain. Subsequently, the “KING ONE” will actively proceed with sea trials and certification procedures and is expected to commence its maiden voyage in early 2026.
